‘Grab a jab’ with NHS South East; recounting the story

The NHS South East have been working with us on a fast turnaround campaign to push over 18s to get their first dose of the COVID vaccine.

The first parts went live last weekend; with eye-catching and bold Creatives on  Digital AdVan, perfect to capture the attention of a young audience who are on the move.

Other aspects of the campaign include going live on Spotify, busy spots like malls and bars, and across digital/social channels.

The campaign is underpinned by the phrase ‘grab a jab’- demonstrating how easy and effortless the NHS want it to be for this crucial age group.

Last weekend, people were able to attend walk-in clinics across the South East and the Thames Valley in an effort to get more people vaccinated. The sites included football stadiums, theatres, supermarket car parks and shopping centres - which helped to vaccinate more of the UK public without needing to book in advance.

In Oxford, people headed to Leys Health Centre on Saturday and East Oxford Health Centre on Sunday.

And a walk-in vaccine programme has been taking place at Reading Borough Council's Civic Offices since the 17th June. The centre was initially scheduled to close on Sunday 27th June. However, because overall uptake of the vaccine in Reading is below the national average it will now stay open for a further five days.

Meanwhile in Bournemouth, a walk-in clinic opened on Monday 28 June at St Luke’s Church. No appointment is necessary and no proof of identity is required to allow people to ‘grab a jab.’
